Designed with user experience in mind, the Ajban Mk 2 aims to effectively address the evolving threats encountered on the modern battlefield. Its monocoque V-hull design stands out as a notable feature, providing enhanced protection while reducing overall weight. The vehicle's construction utilizes armor plates forming the body shell, resulting in improved survivability. Additionally, the underbelly protection and modified electric architecture contribute to its performance in challenging environments.

Notably, the Ajban Mk 2 has undergone landmine blast tests conducted in collaboration with LAHAB, adhering to international standards. The results of these tests have demonstrated the vehicle's ability to withstand powerful blasts, specifically targeting the front and belly areas of the hull. The level of protection offered by the Ajban Mk 2 sets it apart from other vehicles in its class.

The Ajban Mk 2 features dimensions of approximately 5.62 meters in length, 2.35 meters in width, and 2.39 meters in height. With a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) of 11,500 kg, it offers an increased payload capacity of approximately 2.9 tons, twice that of the previous version. The interior space has been optimized to accommodate up to five military personnel, with potential future plans for expanding the capacity to seven individuals. Improvements in ergonomics have been made to enhance crew comfort and usability. The crew compartment features two doors on each side, each equipped with small bulletproof windows. The windshield is divided into two parts, ensuring improved visual awareness for the crew.

The Ajban Mk 2, a part of the Abjan family, is powered by a diesel engine generating 296 hp and delivering a torque of 1100Nm at 1500rpm, coupled with a 6-speed automatic transmission. This powertrain enables the vehicle to reach a top speed of around 110 km/h. With a maximum cruising range of approximately 700 km, the Ajban Mk 2 offers operational flexibility for a variety of mission requirements. Its independent suspension system enhances ride quality and handling characteristics, both on-road and off-road. Furthermore, a central tire inflation system (CTIS) is available, providing the ability to adjust tire pressure according to the terrain to optimize performance.

The vehicle offers versatility in terms of armament options. The roof can be equipped with either manual or remotely operated weapon systems, accommodating machine guns up to 12.7mm or a 40mm automatic grenade launcher, depending on specific mission needs. Optional features include a high-power 360 hp engine, an additional 100-liter fuel tank for extended range, ballistic protection for the engine compartment, a CBRN protection system for nuclear, biological, and chemical threats, obstacles awareness cameras positioned at the front and rear, a gun ring mount, and a self-recovery winch.
