At Army Recognition, we have lost count of the number of anti-drone solutions we have presented at the EDEX 2023 and ExpoDefensa 2023 exhibitions. The focus on anti-drone solutions at such expos is explained by the rapid evolution of drone-related threats in the context of security and defense. Drones, once seen as technological gadgets or tools for aerial photography, have become destructive instruments.

The anti-drone solutions showcased at these events range from drone detection and tracking systems to more active neutralization methods, such as signal jamming or physical capture technologies. The interest in these technologies reflects a heightened awareness of the risks associated with drones, as well as a growing need to protect critical infrastructure, large-scale events, and public spaces from the potential threats these devices pose.

In this context, Milcom unveiled the DD-Gun Pro, targeting any remotely controlled unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) equipped with radio communications and surveillance cameras. The uniqueness of the DD-Gun Pro lies in its ability to securely control the drone, forcing it to either hover in the air until its batteries are exhausted, land immediately, or return to its starting point.

The design of the DD-Gun Pro, reminiscent of a rifle, facilitates its use. It comes with an additional backpack, making it highly portable. Among its features are ease of use, reliability, minimal side effects, cost-effectiveness, and lightweight. It is also designed to withstand antenna malfunctions, short circuits, and high temperatures.

The DD-Gun Pro operates across multiple frequency bands, from 433 MHz to 5850 MHz. Its impact range is impressive, exceeding 4 km, and it can operate in temperatures ranging from 20 °C to +55 °C. The rifle itself weighs 1.5 kg, while the associated backpack weighs 8 kg. The overall dimensions of the weapon are 1200×254 mm, and it can operate continuously for one hour.

The DD-Gun Pro presents itself as an innovative solution in the field of security and defense, offering a non-destructive and controlled method of managing drones.
