Amid the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, we have witnessed the rise of unmanned systems, whether on land, at sea, or especially in the air. These systems have become a must-have for militaries around the world, and Serbia is no exception. The country recently unveiled a new unmanned jet ski at the Partner 2023 expo. Named the Amur, this autonomous jet ski is equipped with a Remote-Controlled Weapon Station (RCWS) featuring a 7.62 mm caliber machine gun. It was designed by Yugoimport SDPR J.P.

The Amur is capable of reaching a maximum speed of 75 km/h and weighs up to 670 kg. Its dimensions are 2800 x 1200 x 1000 / 600 mm. The system is remotely controlled via encrypted radio communication, allowing for secure operation from a control post within a command vehicle or from a portable control station.

The primary weapon of the Amur is a heavy 7.62x54R machine gun with a range of 1000 meters. The weapon station is armored and can be moved in azimuth. The machine gun is also adjustable in elevation and is connected to an ammunition box with a capacity of 180 rounds.

The Amur is also equipped with advanced optoelectronic systems. It features a laser rangefinder, a daytime sighting channel equipped with a CMOS camera, and a nighttime sighting channel with a thermal camera. These systems allow for precise observation and targeting, both day and night.

For transportation, the Amur is towed in a trailer pulled by a light off-road vehicle. This USV is also equipped with integrated command and communication consoles, enabling smooth and coordinated operation.

With its remote-control capabilities, powerful armament, and advanced optoelectronic systems, the Amur offers a versatile solution for various missions, ranging from surveillance to direct engagement. It's worth noting that the Partner 2023 expo highlighted unmanned systems, whether UGVs, UAVs, or USVs like the Amur. unmanned systems have taken on an increasingly important role in global military arsenals.
