Held every two years, SOFINS has become one of the most important events in Europe dedicated to the Special Forces equipment and combat solutions. During the three days of its 5th edition, SOFINS will be a unique opportunity for local and international companies to showcase and demonstrate their latest innovations and technologies dedicated to Special Forces Operations and units.

In 2019, SOFINS gathered more than 260 exhibitors and 3,300 business visitors, as well as 43 foreign special forces delegations. According to the organizers of SOFINS, more than 45% of visitors come from Special Forces and other special units.

SOFINS is a unique event in the calendar of defense and security exhibitions, which is organized for the Special Operations Forces (SOF) community to interact with industry and collaborate on the challenges and initiatives to deliver the most cutting-edge equipment and services into the hands of SOF operators.

Special Operations Forces play a significant role in international military operations and, in recent years, have been assigned greater responsibility for planning and conducting worldwide counter-terrorism operations.

Special operations are military operations requiring unique methods of employment, tactical techniques, equipment, and training. These operations are often conducted in hostile, denied, or politically sensitive environments and are characterized by one or more of the following elements: time-sensitive, clandestine, low visibility, conducted with and/or through indigenous forces, requiring regional expertise, and/or a high degree of risk.

Today, Special Operations Forces need to be equipped with the most modern technologies in terms of weapons, vehicles, communication devices, intelligence means, etc. At SOFINS, local and international companies will offer the latest development of military equipment specially designed for Special Operations Forces.

One of the key events of the edition 2021 of SOFINS is the "Demonstrator 2040", an industrial collaboration between the "Cercle de l'Arbalète" and defense companies showcasing future concepts of Special Forces operations by 2040.

As one of the most important international online defense and security magazines, Army Recognition will cover SOFINS 2021 with the latest news and videos. If you cannot attend SOFINS, follow Army Recognition with its Online Show Daily News and videos during the three days of the event.
