In 2011, the Russian Army will start to obtain modernized ground-to-air missiles systems TOR-M2U, announced this 18 August 2010 to the journalists the chief of the DCA of the Army, the general Mikhaïl Crouch. According to the general, this system is able to strike to four targets simultaneously, its performances being improved considerably. The number of missiles carried by the wheeled chassis was doubled, while passing from 8 to 16. The general stressed that the DCA of the Army had an important potential of modernization, the existing armaments being in the course of improvement. The TOR-M2U is a mobile anti-aircraft system of short range.
