The deal stipulates that Ukrainian T-64 tanks will be serviced and undergo major restoration at Bumar-Łabędy's newly established facilities in Gliwice.

There are plans to expand the cooperation to include servicing T-72 and PT-91 tanks, which were transferred to Ukraine by Poland.

The possibility of jointly servicing Leopard 2 family tanks, provided to Ukraine by the international armored tank coalition, is also under consideration.

"Our company is ready to create a hub for the repair of armored vehicles in service with the Ukrainian army. We have over 70 years of experience in manufacturing and repair. The rearmament and modernization of armored vehicles will be a key aid in supporting the defense capabilities of the Ukrainian army. Thanks to regular repair and maintenance work, the machines will regain their combat readiness," said Edita Shimanska, President of the Management Board of ZM "BUMAR-ŁABĘDY" S.A.

"We are grateful to our Polish partners for helping us increase the volume of armored vehicles for Ukraine's Security and Defense Forces. Each international agreement for us is an integration into the production chains of NATO member countries," emphasized Yuri Gusev, General Director of Ukroboronprom.

It should be noted that during the visit of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to Poland, both sides also signed an agreement on the joint production of 125mm tank ammunition at Polish facilities.
