No information are provided about how many vehicles are in service with the Cameroon's Presidential Guard, but a reconnaissance platoon of this military unit is equipped with the 4x4 light armoured vehicle Musketeer.

In January 2016 it was announced that Cameroon has acquired South African-made Ratel 6x6 armoured vehicles, according a Cameroonian military source.

According to SPRI (Stockholm International Peace Research Institute), China has also delivered a wide range of combat vehicles including 5 Type-07 APC (Armourd Personnel carrier), 6 Type-07P IFV (Infantry Fighting Vehicle) and 12 WMA-301/PTL-02 6x6 assault gun tank destroyer.

The MUSKETEER was presented for the first time at the Worldwide exhibition of internal State security, Milipol 2009. The MUSKETEER is a Multirole Light Armored Vehicle (MLAV) designed to perform extensive range of military and law enforcement tasks. The vehicle can be configured for a wide variety of missions for military, homeland security, law enforcement and urban operation.

The Musketeer 4x4 armoured vehicle is based on a Toyota Land Cruiser chassis.

The MUSKETEER is constructed of a detachable armored body, providing passengers with NATO B6 (STANAG 4569 level 1) ballistic protection. This can be upgraded to B7 protection level if requested by a customer.

The Musketeer used by the Cameroon's Presidential Guard is fitted with a remotely operated weapon station armed with one 7.62mm FN MAG machine gun.
