Kurganmashzavod delivered 33 BMD-4M airborne fighting vehicles to Russia in the first half of 2016
Russia’s armor manufacturer Kurganmashzavod delivered 33 BMD-4M airborne fighting vehicles to the Defense Ministry in the first half of 2016, Director of the Volgograd Machine-Building Enterprise Fizuli Seifedov said on the single military hardware acceptance day.

The Volgograd Machine-Building Enterprise is a Kurganmashzavod subsidiary.

"In accordance with the state defense order, 18 BMD-4M vehicles were delivered to airborne units in 2016," Seifedov said.

"Another 15 BMD-4M airborne fighting vehicles manufactured in accordance with the technical specifications and contractual terms have been accepted and are ready for dispatch," he added.

"Obligations under the 2016 state defense order will be implemented in full," the director said.
The serial production of BMD-4M airborne fighting vehicles started in 2015.
