IZOP-K from Slovenia unveils its Akila tactical bolt action sniper rifle at ExpoDefensa 2021


At ExpoDefensa 2021, Defense and Security Exhibition in Colombia, Slovenian Company IZOP-K unveils the Akila, a new generation of tactical bolt action sniper rifle chambered in 308 Winchester caliber.

IZOP-K tactical bolt action Akila rifle is an extremely precise tool, well known for the reliability and modular ergonomically adaptability for any tactical task. The Akila rifle can be supplied with a fully adjustable buttstock (length of pull, cheek rest and recoil pad height) with an integrated monopod and folding hinge with configurable folding side or as a lightweight version without folding and monopod.

A variety of front-mounted accessories can be attached to the octagonal forefend featuring MLOK mounting interface. The rifle action is a rigid design with an integrated front recoil lug, three locking lugs bolt with a detachable bolt head, the receiver and bolt are treated with gas nitriding surface treatment to improve wear and corrosion resistance. Stainless steel precision barrel with 5/8-24 muzzle thread to mount a muzzle brake or a sound suppressor.

The IZOP-K Akila sniper rifle is also fitted with a Picatinny rail mounted on the upper part of the weapon offering the possibility to mount a wide range of scopes and optical devices. The weapon uses the AICS 5 magazine with a capacity of 10 rounds. The rifle has a length of 1,128 mm with a weight of around 4.5 kg.
