DX Korea 2018: Rafael BNET Broadband Tactical MANET IP Software Defined Radio

Israeli Company Rafael presents its BNET an advanced IP MANET (Mobile Ad-hoc Network) SDR (Software Defined Radio) for tactical operations at DX Korea 2018, Defense Exhibition in Seoul, South Korea. The SDR system optimizes the spectrum utilization, while the use of advanced waveforms deliver high speed networking, supporting live video, image transfer, voice and data.

The BNET is unique Software Defined Radio and Network architecture enabling the future of digitized warfare by delivering wideband, with low delay and reliable connectivity. By simultaneously receiving and processing hundreds of MHz's and merging them into a single IP network BNET provides unprecedented network capacity in terms of data rates, number of users and minimal delay.

In operations that demand high mobility and connectivity, yet no infrastructure, Rafael's BNET is the optimal solutions. BNET is an advanced IP Mobile adhoc Network (MANET) Software Defined Radio (SDR) for tactical operations.

With unique high spectrum efficiency, as well as cognitive capabilities, the BNET offers exceptional connectivity, enhancing the exchange of information on the battlefield. Providing simultaneous voice, data and video communications, BNET is is a major breakthrough in capacity, scalability, low latency and quality of service (QdS).

BNET technology is available in several configurations which make up the Rafael BNET Family including the BNET-HH (Hand Held) for the soldier in the field, BNET-V (Vehicular) for operations on combat vehicles, BNET-AR for airborne platforms and BN-MPS (Man Pack System). All are interoperable with existing legacy radios and have the ability to interact with each other, meeting the demands of modern Net-Centric Warfare.

The BNET supports legacy VHF/ UHF (AM/FM) and an adaptive multi-rate mode that fits varying channel conditions. Compliant with SCA 2.2.2.
