''The strategic situation in Europe is evolving to a higher threat level and the armed forces' need for efficient camouflage and deception is increasing. France is a very important country in Europe and Solarmtex is the ideal partner for us at Saab Barracuda to develop the local presence and representation in the French market'', according to Henning Robach, Head of Saab Barracuda AB.

The agreement signed this year between the two companies includes two areas of partnership:
• a distribution agreement for Saab Barracuda products under which Solarmtex becomes the reseller of Saab Barracuda systems in France.
• true industrial cooperation which foresees Solarmtex being entrusted with the assembly of Saab Barracuda systems as well as logistic activities in connection with future deliveries to the French armed forces.

"Beyond a simple increase in competence, we aim together to develop new technical expertise on French soil. For Solarmtex, this is an acquisition of new skills but also a service that is essential for the implementation of Saab Barracuda products in France", says Yann Ilacqua, President of Solarmtex.

The goal is to invest in Solarmtex's capabilities over the long term to make it the preferred partner of Saab Barracuda in France and to increase the scope of industrial cooperation towards activities that create added value and jobs in the region: manufacture of camouflage nets, repair, training, demonstration and logistics services.
