The Greek company EODH S.A., based in Lakkoma, Chalkidiki, is presenting the latest developments in the field of protection of main battle tanks, armored fighting vehicles and light armored vehicles. Among its state-of-the-art products is the ASPIS Modular NG-MBT.

EODH presents for the first time the heavy version of its advanced protection system "ASPIS Modular NG-MBT" (ASPIS – Advanced Integrated Platform Protection System), installed on a Leopard 2A4 Main Battle Tank of the Hellenic Army, designed as an integrated hybrid solution that combines elements of passive and active protection in the forward bow to counter modern threats such as the Anti-Tank Guided Missiles (ATGM) of twin in-line warheads, and the new generation of APFSDS long penetrating rod Kinetic Energy projectiles whose design is such that it allows responding to multiple blows and, after hitting the armored parts, they can be replaced in field conditions by the tank crew.
The solution proposed by EODH can be adapted as an upgrade for existing MBTs or integrated into new designs, covering the new challenge posed by attack drones, loitering ammunition and new parabolic trajectory Fire and Forget Guided Anti-Tank Systems, which attack the roof of the tank's turret. The ASPIS Modular NG-MBT uses autonomous millimetre-wavelength radar sensors distributed on the roof of the turret which, when activated, detect incoming threats approaching the roof at a high elevation angle and at the right time detonate directed explosive charges.
