UOS Bellarty, a T-55A chassis fitted with a demining device, is a hydraulically controlled system intended for engineering and demining work, neutralizing anti-personnel and anti-tank mines by hitting hammers (a flail) to a depth of 20 cm, leading to their explosion or mechanical destruction.

It is intended for the disposal of the following mines: - anti-personnel - PP Mi Šr II detonator RO-8 and RO-10 - PMA-1, PMA-2, PMA-3, PROM-1 - anti-tank - PT Mi Ba III, PT Mi K, PT Mi U, TMRP-6, TMM-1, TMA-3, TMA-4. The crew consists of two people: the engineer and the driver.

Technical specifications

The T-55 tank chassis is fitted with a John Deere diesel engine. With an operating weight of 39,900 kg, the vehicle can reach speeds of up to 10 km/h off-road and 30 km/h on hard surfaces, with an average fuel consumption of approximately 330 liters/100km (3.3 liters/km).

By using some 20 different and additional equipment and work tools (f.e. hydraulic shears, hydraulic hammer, splitting knife, etc.), it is possible with UOS Bellarty systems to carry out earthworks of a small and medium scale (digging trenches, tank trenches, foundation trenches, channels, digging pits, etc.), to handle non-aggressive material. The vehicle can also serve as a lifting device for up to 7,000 kg.
