This year, Iran's presence at Army-2023 has expanded significantly, with the unveiling of the Ababil OP ballistic missile taking center stage. The exhibition also includes a display of an 8-missile canister launcher tailored for the Ababil OP missile deployment. Iranian media reports highlight that the Ababil OP shares visual similarities with the Zohair (Raad-500) missile, a creation of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Forces. Technical specifications reveal that the Ababil OP missile spans a length of 3.7m, weighs 240kg, and carries a 45kg warhead. The missile is equipped with an optical seeker. The range is 86km.

The Iranian Ministry of Defense's showcase further encompasses an array of cutting-edge systems. Among these are the Balaban guided bomb, the Qaem bomb, the Sadid-365 air-to-ground missile, the Almas anti-tank guided missile (ATGM), the Toophan-5 ATGM, the precision-guided Ghaem munition, the Fateh-110 short-range ballistic missile (SRBM), the Nasir anti-ship missile (AShM), and the Nasr-1 AShM. The exhibition also features scaled models of notable systems, including the Mojajer-6, Karrar main battle tank, and Arash-2 missile system. Additionally, various platforms like the Saba-248 helicopter, Yasin training jet, Zolfaqar missile-launching speedboat, Mowj frigate, Fateh submarine, and Sayyad air defense system are visually represented. Attendees can also explore the capabilities of the Hunter-2 electronic warfare (EW) system, designed for the detection of unmanned aerial vehicles at distances of up to 200 kilometers, and the "Umbrella-4" anti-drone EW system, a countermeasure against drone threats.
