At the same exhibition in Ryazan, Kalashnikov presented its latest drone models, the SCAT 350 M and the "Coliseum-RU." These UAVs represent the new technological advancements offered by the company.

In early April 2024, Kalashnikov announced the launch of the SCAT 350 reconnaissance drone, which operates in conjunction with kamikaze drones. This drone is already in mass production and is being used in Ukraine. The SCAT 350 is designed for aerial surveillance and object detection in optical and infrared spectra. According to the developers, this drone is the result of an extensive modernization of the Supercam 350 drone. Taking into account practical operating experience, Kalashnikov specialists have improved the aerodynamic properties of the product and upgraded the ground control equipment complex.

The SCAT 350 drone features a wingspan of 3.2 meters, a flight time of up to 240 minutes, and speeds ranging from 72 to 120 km/h. It is powered by an electric motor with a pulling configuration. Its radio link and video channel both have ranges of 70 to 100 km. The maximum takeoff weight is 15 kg, and it can operate at flight altitudes between 300 and 2000 meters. The complex's deployment time is 15 minutes, and it is launched using either an elastic or pneumatic catapult.

According to the state-owned corporation Rostec, the SCAT 350 complex is already being effectively used by units of the Russian National Guard in the conflict with Ukraine. In March 2024, Russian National Guard special forces reportedly discovered and destroyed an RM-70 Vampire multiple launch rocket system. The coordinates of the enemy installation were swiftly relayed to the Russian Ministry of Defense, leading to a Ukrainian Armed Forces strike that critically damaged and disabled the installation.

At the same event, the Coliseum-RU was also showcased. This multifunctional drone system is based on a hexacopter and is capable of operating both day and night. It is designed for aerial surveillance, cargo transport, and performing various other tasks.

It is no surprise to see Russia deploying new drones to its armed forces. The emergence of drones as major actors in the conflict in Ukraine is well-recognized, and it will be interesting to see how these new drones perform on the battlefield in the future and to possibly observe the development of an anti-drone system capable of neutralizing them.
