Oshkosh Light Combat Tactical All-Terrain Vehicle (L-ATV) international debut at IDEX 2013.

Oshkosh Defense presents a full range of wheeled tactical vehicles at the International Defence Exhibition IDEX in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The Oshkosh Light Combat Tactical All-Terrain Vehicle (L-ATV) will make its international debut at IDEX 2013.

The Oshkosh L-ATV was one of three vehicles downselected in the current phase of the U.S. military’s Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) program, which will replace a portion of its HMMWV fleet as vehicles reach the end of their service lives. The Oshkosh MRAP All-Terrain Vehicle (M-ATV) will also be on display.

The new Oshkosh Defense® L-ATV is the future of light combat vehicles. The L-ATV combines field-proven technologies, an advanced crew protection system that provides MRAP-level protection and expeditionary levels of mobility in a light-duty profile. Equipped with the Oshkosh TAK-4i™ intelligent independent suspension system*, the L-ATV delivers new levels of agility to safely traverse rugged terrain and compressed urban areas. The L-ATV can also be equipped with the ProPulse® hybrid diesel-electric drive train with exportable power for greater functionality, efficiency and fuel economy.

Oshkosh will have a technology kiosk at IDEX featuring its TerraMax unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) technology – a scalable kit that can be integrated on new or existing vehicles, and enables them to complete planned missions in full autonomous mode or by “shadowing” a leader vehicle.
