DSEI 2015 key event for Defense and Security industries with military experts from all over the world
DSEI is a valuable forum for learning, not just about the latest products, systems, technologies and services, but also about world markets and how to access them. This year we are launching the Global Partnerships Theatre which throughout DSEI will host briefings by leading experts on key markets - established and emerging - and how to do business there. The regions concerned are Africa, Asia Pacific, Europe, Latin America, Middle East and North America.

Still on the international front, joining 40 other countries, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Malaysia and Greece will be mounting international pavilions for the first time at DSEI

The UK Armed Forces will again have a major presence, bringing high level decision makers from the procurement and operational communities to the event. Their plans include a Royal Air Force Air Capability Industry Day. The aerospace dimension of DSEI has grown strongly in recent years, with leading prime contractors and their supply chain members using the event as a platform to reach international markets.

Security is another growth area: this year the Security and Special Forces Zone will be bigger than in 2013 and include a cyber security zone, reflecting the paramount importance of countering the cyber threat. A record number of first-time exhibitors will be showcasing their capabilities covering a broad spectrum of security and counter terrorism disciplines.

While maintaining its strong focus on its ‘four pillars’ - aerospace, land systems, maritime and security - DSEI continues to spotlight significant new areas of capability. Launched at the last DSEI in 2013, the Medical Innovation Zone will feature products and technologies with applications in humanitarian as well as military domains. A highly topical medical issue, exploiting the learnings from the Ebola outbreak, will be the subject of a high level strategic conference to be held in ExCeL London on Day One of DSEI, Tuesday 15 September.
