IDEX 2021: UAE-based company IAG unveils its RILA 8x8 armored IFV.

At IDEX 2021, International Land Defense Exhibition in Abu Dhabi, UAE-based company IAG (International Armored Group) unveils the RILA 8x8 armored infantry fighting vehicle (IFV). This is the first development of an 8x8 armored vehicle in the portfolio of IAG.

International Armored Group (IAG) is one of the largest privately-owned armored vehicle manufacturers in the world. Our company history began over 25 years ago in the cash-in-transit field and expanded into the commercial armored vehicles market followed by armored passenger transport and the tactical vehicles market. IAG believes in the continuous development of know-how and implementation of the latest designs and technologies in the industry, as proven by our armored vehicle certifications to STANAG military standards for both ballistic and blast protection.

At IDEX 2021, the land defense exhibition in Abu Dhabi, UAE,  IAG as we are proud to unveil the first 8x8 infantry fighting vehicle developed and manufactured completely in-house by our team of dedicated engineers. Continuing with the success of the RILA range of tactical vehicles, I would like to draw your attention to the RILA 8x8 infantry fighting vehicle.

The RILA 8x8 can be armored up to STANAG LEVEL 4. The vehicle is powered by a powerful 13L diesel engine developing 500 HP and can run at a maximum speed of 105 km/h with a  maximum cruising range of 720 km. The RILA 8x8 is equipped with blast attenuation seats that can sit up to eleven fully geared personnel including driver and commander. The standard configuration includes one weapon station mounted on the roof of the vehicle armed with one 25 mm automatic cannon and a 7.62 mm coaxial machine gun.

The RILA 8x8 can be fitted with additional options including Hydraulic winch system, Amphibious capability, 360° video camera surveillance system / Night vision cameras / Thermal Camera system, Fire Suppression System, CBRN, Battle Management systems (BMS), RPG Net and Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) and much more.
