On the first day of the war game, intelligence-gathering drones carried out patrol and reconnaissance operations, monitored the country’s frontiers and detected a series of targets across the exercise zone. The spokesman for the drill, Admiral Mahmoud Mousavi, said various UAVs including Yasir, Sadeq, Pelican, Ababil-3, Yazdan, and Mohajer-6 have identified targets and performed operations over border regions and international waters. Considering the broad spectrum of drones and their utility and the need for coordination in the flights, the Army has set up a command and control network for the drone operations, he added.

The ongoing exercise covers all areas across Iran, from the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman to the northern territories, Tasnim reports
