This year, the Warrior Competition brings together the world’s elite Military, Special Operations, Counter Terrorism and Law Enforcement Forces from 11 countries from all over the world with a total of 27 teams.

Today, we had the chance to follow all the competitors during two events, called "Don't Tread on Me" and the "NIMR Operation X", these two physical and operational training exercises have showed the capacity of each Special Forces members to perform firing with a high level of accuracy after a short sprint and the crossing of obstacles.

"Don't Tread on Me" is an exercise which includes a total circuit of 1.5 km (1 miles) starting with a sprint, followed by a shooting with 9 mm automatic pistol. The team must fire on 15 targets in a limited time and with limited rounds . The team has to coordinate amongst themselves because they have limited ammunitions to hit all the targets.

Second part of the exercise includes an obstacle course where each member of the team must cross individually four obstacles including two walls, a ladder and to crawl under a simulated barbed wire obstacle which is followed by a medium/long distance shooting with assault rifle and then a sprint to the finish.

The scenario for "NIMR Operation X" consists of one sniper who must hit three targets at a distance of around 300m. The other members of the team are in two cars to perform a PSD (Personal Security Detail) movement, the two cars move on a road with a VIP inside which are hit by an IED, the personnel must protected the VIP, go outside of the vehicle and hit ten targets with their own assault rifle.

This competition allows for the teams to exchange best practice and lessons learned that compounds their participation experience that breed camaraderie among nations. Furthermore, the competitors have the opportunity to fire with latest generation of automatic pistols, semi and fully automatic assault rifles and machine guns by the companies who sponsor the Warrior Competition.
