Lebanon first public appearance of Bradley M2A2 IFV at military parade.

First public appearance of American-made Bradley M2A2 tracked IFV (Infantry Fighting Vehicle) of Lebanese army at the rehearsal of military parade for the Independence Day of Lebanon which takes place every year November 22. In August 2017, United States has officially delivered Bradley M2A2 to the Lebanese Armed Forces.

According a statement from the U.S. embassy in Lebanon, United States will delivered a total of 32 Bradley M2A2. This contribution to the Lebanese Armed Forces represents an investment of over 100 million dollars. It will provide the Lebanese Armed Forces with new capabilities to protect Lebanon, to protect its borders, and to fight terrorists.

During the last 12 months, United States has provided different types of weapons and combat vehicles to the Lebanese Army, including 40 M198 howitzers, 50 armored Humvees, Cessna aircraft, 55 mortar systems, 50 Mark-19 automatic grenade launchers, 1,100 .50 12.7mm machine guns, 4,000 M4 assault rifles, over a half a million of ammunition, 320 night vision devices and 360 secure communication radios.

The M2A2 Bradley AIFV (Armoured Infantry Fighting Vehicle) was introduced in the U.S. Army in 1988, it's an improved version of the standard vehicle Bradley M2A1.

The M2A2 Bradley is armed with an ATK Gun Systems Company M242 25 mm Bushmaster Chain Gun with a 7.62 mm M240C machine gun mounted coaxially to the right of the main armament. On the left side of the turret, there is also two launchers for the TOW ATGM (Anti-Tank Guided Missile) and the TOW 2.
