Most law enforcement agencies conduct tactical operations now and again. How often they do this is a function of the crime level, population, and environment. If the police officer have to approach a premise under fire, their patrol cars won't offer much protection. It takes a fairly lucky shot to hit a cop inside a patrol car with a handgun, but it can be done. With a rifle, it's fairly easy. Patrol cars aren't armored coming off the line, and while ballistic panels can be installed, it's costly and adds weight to the car.

With this new type of vehicle as the PVP, the Police Officer are more protected against the new threats especially during counter-terrorism operations. During the recent attacks in Paris, terrorist was armed with high-powered military grade weapons slaughtered civilians in the heart of Paris. Witnesses said that the gunmen who attacked the Bataclan theatre and bars and restaurants in the 10th and 11th arrondisements of Paris on Friday, 13 November, were armed with AK-47 Kalashnikov assault rifles.

In France, the Paris-based National Observatory for Delinquency estimates that the number of illegal firearms has been increasing in double digits for years. After the terrorist attacks in Paris, Police have seized a rocket launcher and other weapons as they carried out a series of raids across France.

With this new PVP armoured vehicle, police officers are more protected during anti-terrorist operations with vehicle offering high level of protection Level 2 STANAG 4569 firing of small arms (7.62 x 39 API BZ at 30 meters with 695 m/s) as AK-47 assault rifle.

Now Police officer of Special Unit as the RAID in France must be equipped with combat equipment and weapons as soldier in the modern battlefield. Their new weapon was selected to boost the power of police to respond to armed threats with increased accuracy while allowing them to move in confined spaces.

During Milipol 2015, the Worldwide Exhibition of Internal State Security which was held in Paris from the 17 to November 2015, Army Recognition Defense and Security Web TV has the chance to make an interview with Mister Jean-Louis Courtois, former police officer who explained the new equipment and vehicle used by the RAID, counter-terrorist Special Unit of the French Police.

Mister Jean-Louis Courtois has already written two books over the RAID unit.
