Turkey’s leading land systems manufacturer Otokar participates in Indodefence 2016, at the Jakarta International Expo Kemayoran in Jakarta, Indonesia. Otokar presents models of its wheeled armoured vehicles Cobra, Arma 6x6, Arma 8x8 and tracked armoured vehicle Tulpar in Otokar Stand.

Otokar General Manager Mr. Serdar Gorguc said: “Otokar, apart from being the main supplier of the Turkish Military and Security Forces for wheeled tactical vehicles, serves almost 50 different end users in over 30 countries. Today over 29,000 Otokar military vehicles are in service in many different parts of the world with an outstanding performance. Capabilities of the design, testing, development, and production under one single umbrella greatly differentiate Otokar among our rivals and we are extremely pleased to see that, our intense focus in the business is appreciated by our customers. I believe Indo Defence is an important event to seek new export opportunities.

Otokar tactical armoured vehicles are operating under many different geographical and extreme climate conditions in the world and their combat capabilities are proven in the real combat situations in high risk areas. Today, Otokar military vehicles are globally deployed in various operations under UN and NATO flags.

With a vast range of armoured vehicles in various types and versions up to 60 tons in both wheeled & tracked, Otokar is considered as one of the most sophisticated land defence plants worldwide and provides the modern armies with state-of-the-art tactical vehicles in different configurations.”

One of a kind in its class in the world in terms of mobility, amphibious qualities, protection and modularity, COBRA meets the demands of armed and internal security forces. Designed by Otokar in late 1990s, today COBRA is actively used in 15 countries, and is also among the United Nations forces’ most preferred vehicles for its superior capabilities.

ARMA, is a new generation modular multi-wheeled vehicle family with superior tactical and technical features. ARMA family is an ideal platform for multiple purposes, serving on a vast mission field with its modular structure and capabilities, and meeting the modern armed forces’ requirements for survivability, protection levels and mobility with a low silhouette suitable for the present day’s combat conditions. ARMA stands out in particular with its high combat payload and spacious interiors, and the ability to be equipped with various weapon systems ranging from 7.62 mm to 105 mm. Thanks to the specially designed amphibious system, ARMA can enter the water without the need for any preparation, and reach 8 km per hour in the water.

TULPAR is designed as a multi-purpose vehicle platform with its outmatch ballistic and mine protection to support new generation main battle tanks in battlefield and to provide fire support for infantry. TULPAR offers a superior mobility in a wide range of challenging terrains and climatic conditions and also serves diverse operations including urban and peacekeeping missions. TULPAR offering all mission equipment required in battlefield as standard is the future of armored combat vehicle with its technical and tactical characteristics including transportability with A400M, modular protection structure, electronic infrastructure and low silhouette. Thanks to its large internal volume, high payload and flexible architecture, TULPAR has sufficient growth potential to meet the future protection needs and mission equipment.
