U.S. Army testing Bradley IFV with upgraded suspension system

At Yuma Proving Ground (YPG), U.S. Army test officers are testing the Bradley IFV with an upgraded suspension system, as the vehicle suffers from accumulated improvements of various kinds that result in an overweight compromising its mobility in some off-road environments. The aim of these tests is also to reduce maintenance time.

Test officer Jade Janis said: “There's nothing on this system; that's the same as something in use already. It's all completely redesigned with newer technology", Aziza Shuler reports on Kyma. The newly implemented suspension system offers a built-in height management system that gives the capability to raise and lower the vehicle from the driver's seat. This project could be tested for a least a year before moving to the next phase of approval.
