The teams have already arrived to the firing range and started preparing UAVs.

“Zastava” and “Granat” UAVs will be involved in the command-and-staff exercise on the territory of the Jewish Autonomous Region and Sakhalin Island. The servicemen will gather information about movement of units during the repelling of a large-scale airstrike of imaginary enemy.

The Zastava UAS was tested for the first time at the Salka flight base near Yekaterinburg since December 2012. Despite extreme weather conditions (temperatures dropped under minus 30 degrees Celsius on some days and reached minus 50 degrees Celsius at an altitude of 2,000 meters), the drones' systems are functioning nominally and have never faulted.

This drone was assembled in Russia under an agreement that Oboronprom and Israel Aerospace Industries LTD (IAI) concluded in 2010.

The Granat UAV was enter in service with the Russian armed forces in 2013. The Granat is a family of small to mediul size UAV designed and manufactured in Russia.

Granat UAVs are designed to monitor the Earth’s surface, various objects, thoroughfares, personnel, and equipment in near real-time.
