Russia`s TsNIITochMash design bureau (a subsidiary of the Rostec state corporation) is planning to launch the serial production of the new air-droppable self-propelled gun (SPG) for the Airborne Forces (Russian acronym: VDV, Vozdushno-Desantnie Voyska) in mid-2019, according to the company`s CEO, Dmitry Semizorov.

Marines with 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment have tested the Multi-Utility Tactical Transport vehicle, or the MUTT, provided by the Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory July 9, 2016 on Camp Pendleton, California. The MUTT will be used to help less Marines cover a greater area, provide expeditionary power and to give Marines superior firepower.

Russia`s National Guard (Natsgvardiya) may order Orsis T-5000 high-precision sniper rifles developed by LLC Industrial Technologies (GK Promtekhnologiya), according to the Izvestia newspaper. If the T-5000 rifle passes the fire trials, the National Guard`s Special Forces and reconnaissance unit will bring the high-precision weapon in service. Hence, Orsis T-5000 may be the first firearm produced by private defense enterprise and adopted by Russia`s law enforcement agencies.
