The Serbian Company Yugoimport unveils its new Lazar/RALAS wheeled anti-tank missile carrier armored vehicle at IDEX 2019, the International Defense Exhibition that was held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates in February 2019. The system is mounted on the chassis of the Lazar 3 8x8 armored vehicle.

The new Lazar RALAS was developed to perform anti-tank missions using a new generation of on-line-of-sight missile dubbed RALAS also manufactured by Yugoimport. The vehicle is fitted with a weapon station armed with two launchers, each equipped with four containers.

The weapon station mounted on the Lazar 3 chassis has no traverse because the missile is automatically guided to the target by its seeker.

The Lazar RALAS is equipped with a fire control system which is used from inside of the vehicle to perform all firing operations. The onboard computers are connected to C4I (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence) systems to receive data about the targets and computes the missile flight.

The ground control station is located inside of the vehicle behind the driver seats. It consists of a screen, a switchboard, and a control joystick. The tactical situation and other Battle Management Systems (BMS) elements are shown on the screen during all the firing operations, and the image received from the homing head is displayed during the missile flight. The launcher platform and launching of missiles are controlled by the switchboard while the joystick is used to control the missile homing head. The missile has a maximum firing range of 9 km.

The Lazar Ralas has a crew of 12 including the driver, commander, and gunner. It offers protection against firing of small arms and artillery shell splinters. The rear part of the vehicle can accommodate 9 infantrymen. The vehicle can run at a maximum road speed of 110 km/h with a maximum cruising range of 800 km.
