The Time's up event is designed to test team’s ability to accurately engage targets while moving. Each member of the team takes their designated position within the event based on the team's plan. Once all members are at their designated starting point, the first member is given the command to get ready and the event is initiated by senior event coordinator by either blow horn or siren and will finish once the last shooter reaches the designated stop point. There are 2 types of targets during the event, small ones that are meant to be shot by the main gun (5.56mm) and bigger one for the pistol (9mm or .45cal).

On the start command from the senior event coordinator, the first member of the team begins moving through the path marked by cones. For the next stage to begin, the shooter must tag the next shooter. Once the shooter has completed his stage, he returns to the event start point. All shots and reloads must be done while moving. The first time a team's member stops, whether to engage or reload, a tier 5 penalty is issued and is counted for the whole team score. If 2 member of the team stops, the team gets disqualified from the event. During the event, the shooters must stay within the cones at all times, if any steps are made outside by any member of the team, it will results in a disqualification.
