The leading European robotics and autonomous systems developer Milrem Robotics exhibits several cutting-edge intelligent and integrated robotic systems at IDEX 2023, an International Defense Exhibition that takes place in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. For the first time, the MILREM Type-X is presented with Halcon's Hunter 2S loitering munitions launchers.

The Type-X Robotic Combat Vehicle is an organic part of mechanized units that can take the most dangerous positions and provide equal or overmatching firepower and tactical usage compared to traditional Infantry Fighting Vehicles. Thanks to Vegvisir's Mixed Reality Situational Awareness System Type-X operators have a 360-degree virtual dome with EO/IR sensor fusion for both close and medium proximity vision and target engagement capabilities in any condition.
The Type-X can be fitted with a wide range of weapon systems including the multi-role Cockerill Protected Weapons Station Generation II (CPWS II). The CPWS II is a low-profile, lightweight remotely operated weapon system integrating a configurable hatch opening.
The weapon system can be fitted with a range of 25mm and 30mm medium caliber guns such as the Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems M242 25mm X 137mm Bushmaster cannon, the 230LF 30mm X 113mm cannon, or the Nexter 25mm M811.
The HUNTER 2-S is a tactical drone that can be deployed in a swarm. The unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) technology that enables it to share information with other drones within the swarm. The swarming drones are able to track and maintain their relative positions to perform coordinated missions that effectively overwhelm adversaries.
Carrying a payload of up to 2kg, these ground-launched swarming drones can reach a maximum altitude of 1,000m and are suitable for recon and offensive missions, operating at a cruising speed of 80 km/h, with an endurance of 30 minutes. The drone features a wingspan of 1.44 meters, and a length of 1.25 meters, and is run by an electric engine.
The HUNTER 2-S Tube Launcher can be fitted on the back of an armored artillery vehicle, enabling all 21 drones to be launched within 60 seconds.
