PARS III 6x6 wheeled armored vehicle APC IFV FNSS Turkey 925 001

Description

The PARS III 6x6 has been developed with a special emphasis on mobility, protection, payload, and growth potential. The vehicles are equipped with the latest designs and cutting-edge technologies with a focus on the performance and durability of modern military operational requirements.

Vehicles are powered by a diesel engine. The powerpack consists of a water-cooled diesel engine, coupled with a fully automatic transmission which generates a maximum road speed of up to 100 km/h. Thanks to the engine layout and favored balanced design, the vehicle has almost equal axle loads. The vehicle has 6x6 driving characteristics, and all of its axles can be locked when necessary. The central tire inflation system allows the driver to adjust the tire pressures to suit different terrain conditions. The fully independent hydro-pneumatic suspension system gives the vehicle the highest wheel travel of its class and ensures the best road grip under different road conditions. The PARS III 6x6 all-axle steering system gives the vehicle the lowest turning radius in its classes.

The two-man driver’s cab at the front of the vehicle offers a 180° horizontal field of vision and a high level of driving safety and comfort. Large glass periscopes and front driving and maneuver cameras with thermal cameras located on the front and rear of the vehicle give the driver and the commander an even wider field of vision. The door covers, personnel seats, gun holders and interior lighting elements are all designed in such a way that the comfort of the crew is ensured in the vehicle, which can accommodate up to nine personnel. With a range of over 800 km, the vehicles have fuel tanks incorporating special measures to protect against explosion and puncture, and a reserve fuel tank under the armor can be called upon in emergencies. The vehicle hull can be brought up to the level of protection required by the user thanks to the modular design armor system. The hull form, underbelly structure, base plates, and specially developed mine-resistant seats are designed to protect personnel against high-level mine threats.

PARS III 6X6 vehicle runs ahead of its competitors by offering similar ballistic and mine protection levels with MRAP vehicles while maintaining the combat and mobility capabilities of modern armored combat vehicles. The vehicle has an integrated air-conditioning system, that even in desert conditions, keeps the vehicle’s internal temperature at +25 °C. The modular connection of the vehicle subsystems to the mine-resistant hull ensures ease of maintenance and replacement. This ease of maintenance and the easy replacement of moving parts and the power transmission systems in particular make the PARS III 6X6 and 8x8 superior to their counterparts. The powerpack architecture, which can be disassembled and reassembled in less than 60 minutes, gives the user the freedom to replace the engine while on the field, providing a remarkable benefit.
Vehicles can be transported by air (A400, C17 & C5), sea, railways or land.

Technical Data

Armament
The PARS III 6x6 can be fitted with a range of weapon stations including an open-top turret, one-man or two-man turret as well as a remotely operated weapon station. The weapon station can be armed with automatic cannon up to 40mm caliber. The second armament includes one 7.62mm coaxial machine gun and smoke grenade dischargers can be mounted on the front or the side of the turret. In option, the turret can be equipped with anti-tank guided missile launchers.
Design and protection
The design of the PARS III 6x6 is unique with the crew compartment including a driver and commander at the front seated side by side, the engine in the middle of the hull at the front of the weapon station, and the troop’s compartment at the rear. The two-man driver’s cab at the front of the vehicle offers a 180° horizontal field of vision and a high level of driving safety and comfort. Large glass periscopes and front driving and maneuver cameras with thermal cameras located on the front and rear of the vehicle give the driver and the commander an even wider field of vision There is a corridor on the right of the vehicle which allows the driver and commander to quickly leave the vehicle from the rear in case of emergency. The vehicle has a crew of three including a driver, commander and gunner, and the rear part can accommodate up to 6 infantrymen. The rear part of the hull is fitted with a hydraulic ramp allowing the troops to quickly enter or leave the vehicle. In case of failure, a manual door is mounted in the middle of the hydraulic ramp.
The modular hull and armor design of PARS III 6X6 offers various levels of ballistic and mine protection according to customer requests. The hull form, underbelly structure, base plates, and specially developed mine-resistant seats are designed to protect personnel against high-level mine threats. The PARS III 6X6 vehicle runs ahead of its competitors by offering similar ballistic and mine protection levels to MRAP (Mine Resistant Ambush Protected) vehicles while maintaining the combat and mobility capabilities of modern armored combat vehicles.

Mobility
The PARS III 6x6 is powered by a Diesel engine coupled to a fully automatic transmission with 7 forward and 2 reverse gears. Thanks to the engine layout and favored balanced design, the vehicle has almost equal axle loads. This design approach provides the vehicle with the ability to move comfortably even on loose and soft terrain, while also providing increased road-holding at high speeds and short braking distance. The axles of the vehicle can be locked if required. The powerpack architecture, which can be disassembled and reassembled in less than 60 minutes, gives the user the freedom to replace the engine while on the field, providing a remarkable benefit. It can run at a maximum road speed of 100 km/h with a maximum cruising range of 800 km. The vehicle can negotiate a gradient of 60% and a side slope of 30%. It can climb a vertical obstacle of 70 cm and can cross a trench 175 cm wide.
Accessories
Standard equipment of PARS III 6x6 includes night vision equipment, NBC protection system, Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Central Tire Inflation (CTI) and Run Flat Tire Inserts, Integrated Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) and Integrated Survivability Suite. The central tire inflation system allows the driver to adjust the tire pressures to suit different terrain conditions. The PARS III 6X6 also has an integrated air-conditioning system, and the main difference of this system that makes it stand out from its counterparts is that even in desert conditions, the vehicle’s internal temperature can be kept at +25 °C.
