Design and protection |
The design of the PARS III 6x6 is unique with the crew compartment including a driver and commander at the front seated side by side, the engine in the middle of the hull at the front of the weapon station, and the troop’s compartment at the rear. The two-man driver’s cab at the front of the vehicle offers a 180° horizontal field of vision and a high level of driving safety and comfort. Large glass periscopes and front driving and maneuver cameras with thermal cameras located on the front and rear of the vehicle give the driver and the commander an even wider field of vision There is a corridor on the right of the vehicle which allows the driver and commander to quickly leave the vehicle from the rear in case of emergency. The vehicle has a crew of three including a driver, commander and gunner, and the rear part can accommodate up to 6 infantrymen. The rear part of the hull is fitted with a hydraulic ramp allowing the troops to quickly enter or leave the vehicle. In case of failure, a manual door is mounted in the middle of the hydraulic ramp.
The modular hull and armor design of PARS III 6X6 offers various levels of ballistic and mine protection according to customer requests. The hull form, underbelly structure, base plates, and specially developed mine-resistant seats are designed to protect personnel against high-level mine threats. The PARS III 6X6 vehicle runs ahead of its competitors by offering similar ballistic and mine protection levels to MRAP (Mine Resistant Ambush Protected) vehicles while maintaining the combat and mobility capabilities of modern armored combat vehicles. |

Mobility |
The PARS III 6x6 is powered by a Diesel engine coupled to a fully automatic transmission with 7 forward and 2 reverse gears. Thanks to the engine layout and favored balanced design, the vehicle has almost equal axle loads. This design approach provides the vehicle with the ability to move comfortably even on loose and soft terrain, while also providing increased road-holding at high speeds and short braking distance. The axles of the vehicle can be locked if required. The powerpack architecture, which can be disassembled and reassembled in less than 60 minutes, gives the user the freedom to replace the engine while on the field, providing a remarkable benefit. It can run at a maximum road speed of 100 km/h with a maximum cruising range of 800 km. The vehicle can negotiate a gradient of 60% and a side slope of 30%. It can climb a vertical obstacle of 70 cm and can cross a trench 175 cm wide. |
Accessories |
Standard equipment of PARS III 6x6 includes night vision equipment, NBC protection system, Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Central Tire Inflation (CTI) and Run Flat Tire Inserts, Integrated Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) and Integrated Survivability Suite. The central tire inflation system allows the driver to adjust the tire pressures to suit different terrain conditions. The PARS III 6X6 also has an integrated air-conditioning system, and the main difference of this system that makes it stand out from its counterparts is that even in desert conditions, the vehicle’s internal temperature can be kept at +25 °C. |
