Champion-Auto Industry has developed the Jet 4x4 armoured vehicle to respond on a gap between heavy armoured vehicle and 8x8 personnel carrier. The Taiwanese army does not currently have a 4x4 armored vehicle of this category that may be useful for all-terrain conditions in the country. The prototype shows at the TADTE 2013 is a personnel carrier variant able to carry six soldiers. The modular design supports the integration of equipment and systems as per the customer requirements.

The Jet is equipped with a remote weapon station armed with a 7.62mm machine gun but the vehicle can also be armed with a 40mm automatic grenade launcher or 12.7mm heavy machine gun. The turret is also designed and manufactured in Taiwan.

The vehicle was developed to be used by police or armed forces. The standard layout of the vehicle houses the engine at the forward, crew cab in the middle and troop's compartment at the rear.

The standard vehicle's body offers a protection against firing of small arms but in option the vehicle can be fitted with a new hull to increase the protection to STANAG 4569 level, the NATO Standardization Agreement covering the standards for the "Protection Levels for Occupants of Logistic and Light Armored Vehicles".
