Deploying a 32 sq.m. expandable shelter, with four people in 15 minutes, which fits inside a ISO 20ft container, air transportable in a C-130/C-160/A400M aircrafts is a true logistics answer for every field commander. CEGELEC Defence presented at SOFEX 2014 its containerized pre-equipped expandable shelters, addressing the operational requirements of the defence and the civil market.

With its in-house design and development, the company has offered the product to the French Gendarmerie and the Air Force, who has battlefield tested them in Mali, in Congo, in Afghanistan and many other areas of conflict around the globe.

The extended number or applications that these shelters can serve as include tactical C2 posts, as mobile hospitals, as sanitary containers, kitchens, offices, accommodation among many others.

The shelters can operate at extreme climatic conditions ranging from -30 to +60 degrees Celsius and in contaminated environments. Based on the customer’s needs, they can be fitted with power distribution, communications and data networks and air-conditioning.
