The NERVA LG can be configured for multiple roles including CBRNe (chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosives) detection, reconnaissance, observation, surveillance, counter-IED (improvised explosive devices) for road clearance, smoke generator, fire-fighting, transportation, and other civil security missions.

The NERVA LG can be manually controlled by the operator from rugged personal computer or tablet or smart phones. It can reach a maximum speed of 15km/h and has an endurance of two hours. Its operation time can be extended by installing an additional external battery. It can climb stairs and traverse through obstacles. It is throwable and reversible up and downwards. The Nerva LG can be operated to maximum distance of 1,000 m in Line Of Sight mode, 500 m in dense forests, and 100 m in urban areas.

To improve the mobility of the NERVA LG, it can be configured with wheels or rubber tracks with no special tools, depending on the terrain on which it must be deployed or according to the needs of the mission. It can be fitted with up to 20 mission kits based on the operational requirements.

The NERVA LG can be deployed and used by mounted or dismounted personnel, using a control station with advanced ergonomic capabilities. It also forms a natural extension for combat vehicles.

Standard equipment of the NERVA LG includes a standard camera on left, right and rear sides. There is another camera at the front, with a 1280x720 pixel definition.
