ShieldAfrica 2017: Bren-Tronics showcases its 6-PACK Based Portable Power System
At ShieldAfrica 2017, being held until Jan. 26 in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, the US-based company Bren-Tronics, an advanced designer and manufacturer of batteries and charging systems, is showcasing its 6-PACK BTE-70791A-T1B base portable power system.

Systems requiring significant amounts of energy are usually powered by generators or by constantly charging batteries. The 6-PACK is an energy source comprised of six BB-2590/U batteries packed in a rugged, watertight container with an integrated battery management system.

Bren-Tronics’ 6-PACK is a 1.8 kWh portable power system using flexible solar panels to be fully charged in less than 10 hours.

Depending on the power consumption, the 6-PACK can provide continuous energy over one week in stand alone mode, or indefinite operation when connected to renewable energy (e.g. wind, solar, etc.). The system is capable of acting as an UPS, Power Supply or Standalone Battery Unit. It is SMBUs v.1. and SBAData v1.1. compliant.

The 6-PACK weights 18 kg with batteries, or 9.5 kg without batteries. It can operate under temperatures from -20°C to +55°C. Inputs that work with the 6-PACK include 12V power source, 250VA, 47-440Hz, and 12-36Vdc Solar.
