Dmitry Shugayev, the head of the Russian Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation, has expressed the hope that Russia and India will sign contracts for the joint production of the Kalashnikov AK-203 assault rifles and Ka-226 helicopters before the end of 2019.

The British Army has launched the Army Industrial Engagement Framework (AIEF). Defence Secretary Ben Wallace has endorsed the new initiative, which for the first time defines how the Army can develop a more cohesive and effective relationship with industry throughout the procurement and development process.

The Defense Ministry reported a test launch of an Iskander ballistic missile. The launcher of the Eastern Military District hit an important target at Kapustin Yar range. The launch is likely the beginning of a large-scale series of missile tests that will last up to mid-September at Sary-Shagan and Kapustin Yar ranges, the Military-Industrial Courier writes.

The US has delivered 50 military vehicles and trucks to Morocco’s Royal Armed Forces (FAR) which commented that this delivery was the first phase of a broader agreement involving the shipment of 100 military vehicles and tactical transportation trucks. The second phase is expected to take place “in the coming weeks”, Morocco World News comments.
