New UGV Unmanned Ground Vehicle Robot Nazeer enters in service with Iranian Armed Forces.
Armed Forces of Iran will be equipped with new armed remote-controlled robot "Nazeer" designed for reconnaissance and combat operations. The Iranian military experts and technicians have in recent years made great headways in manufacturing a broad range of indigenous equipment, making the armed forces self-sufficient in the arms sphere.

The new robot is officially entered in service during a military ceremony in Tehran on Monday, September 26, 2016, morning, attended by Commander of Army Ground Force Brigadier General Ahmad Reza Pourdastan.

The remote-controlled robot Nazeer, is equipped with four-wheel drive system and can be programmed for reconnaissance and combat missions within an operational range of 2 kilometers.

Capable of carrying loads up to 600 kg, the robot can be armed with machine guns, air-defense or anti-armor missiles.

According the first pictures release on Internet, the Nazeer can be also armed with MANPADS Man-portable air-defense systems. It seems that the missiles are stored inside the robot, and can erected in fire position on the top of the vehicle.

Each sides of the Nazeer robot are fitted with three smoke grenade dischargers, mounted at the front and the rear of the vehicle.
