Saab receives US order for AT4CS RS systems

Defence and security company Saab has received an order from the US Army for the shoulder-launched AT4CS RS (reduced sensitivity) anti-armour weapon system. Deliveries will take place during 2016.

The Russian army’s prized Armata platform, the bottom for a brand new tank and armored infantry preventing car, is on schedule to start out operational trials in 2016, stated Oleg Salyukov, the commander in chief of the Russian military, in line with state-owned information service Monday.

The Department of Defense officials have decided to cut even further the headquarters positions. In a move that would save funds for other operational requirements, the Deputy Defence Secretary, Robert Work, has called for a 25% reduction in appropriations, in the 2017-2020 period.

Australia received 7th CH-47 ahead of schedule

Boeing delivered the seventh CH-47F Chinook to the Australian Army on budget August 10th, three weeks ahead of schedule, supporting modernization of Australia’s cargo helicopter fleet and eventually replacing the Commonwealth’s six older CH-47D Chinooks. The seven advanced Chinooks were ordered as part of a U.S. Government Foreign Military Sales agreement with Australia in 2012.

The U.S. Army Contracting Command has awarded Navistar Defense a $369 million contract to provide 2,293 Medium Tactical Vehicles (MTVs) to build upon the Afghanistan National Security Force's (ANSF) MTV Fleet. Cubic Global Defense announced on 2 September the delivery of its specialized training systems to the Ukrainian Army worth $1.7 million. The equipment is interoperable with their existing Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement Simulation (MILES) and Joint Multinational Readiness Center (JMRC) training systems allowing the Ukrainian Army to train at the brigade level.
