|France and USA delivering more military aid to Lebanon|
The United States and France are expediting delivery of the much-needed military aid to Lebanon, Lebanese Amy commander Gen. Jean Kahwagi said today, September 18. “U.S. and French assistance will be delivered more consistently and will include qualitative weapons, rockets for aircraft, shells and night-combat gear,” Kahwagi said in remarks published Thursday by the local daily As-Safir.

The United States provided earlier this month the Lebanese Army with additional aircraft to help it defeat militant groups and announced an additional $103.8 million in humanitarian aid to assist Lebanon with the refugee crisis. France has also contributed 7 million euros to the International Support Group for Lebanon Fund, designed to help the country deal with the impact of the Syrian conflict.
