The SCOUT SV is a program for the British Army to provide a new generation of light tracked armoured vehicle. The Scout SV program is lead by the Company General Dynamics UK with the goal to replace the CVRT (light armoured vehicle) fleet of the British Army. The Scout SV Recovery also nicknamed Atlas is one of two Equipment Support variants of Scout SV family to be used in a complementary manner to deliver a coherent capability. It is fitted with a recovery package that is optimized to provide the most effective means of recovering a casualty vehicle. As with all of the other variants it boasts fully integrated sub-systems via the electronic architecture. Both roles afford similar protection and mobility performance to SCOUT and PMRS therefore can operate effectively in close support to the combat element. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
