The PR-15 radar has passed all field tests successfully and he is now ready to enter in service. It has now new option, as the printed antenna and the possibility to use the computer with solar panels. With a single battery, the PT-15 radar can be operated from 6 to 8 hours. The radar is mounted on a tripod and connected to a portable computer, with a total weight of 32 kg.

This solid-state, Pulse-Doppler radar, automatically detects moving targets out to 23 kilometers. It has the ability to detect individual people at a maximum range of 6 km, light combat vehicle at 12 km, and tank-sized vehicle at 18 km.

Fixed target cancellation, subclutter detection and inbound/outbound indication are achieved by range- Doppler processing using FFT. Low transmitting power, LPI capabilities and some ability of adaptation to radar environment are achieved by utilizing advanced pulse compression techniques including mismatching and waveform agility.

Classification and target activity analysis are accomplished by using time-Doppler analysis combined with pattern recognition techniques. The radar operates with high reliability, exposed to harsh field environment conditions, working according to an intensified profile of mission either day or night in any adverse weather conditions.

The PR-15 radar can be combined with an electro-optic (TV/IR) and Command and Control (C2) system to provide multi-sensor surveillance capability.
