ZEHST concept on future propulsion systems for high speed flight. As one example of its many future looking projects, EADS Innovation Works (IW) – the upstream research arm of EADS – pursues ZEHST together with Astrium in an feasibility study.

The initial ZEHST concept represents a possible future propulsion system architecture that is driven by flight safety requirements and the need to minimize exhaust gas and noise emissions. Thus, ZEHST is a very early stage upstream technology concept – not a project that you will see tomorrow on the runway for sale. BUT you can see it on the EADS stand and read more about its developments throughout the week right here!
