The CombatGuard is built based on a monocoque capsule which provides all around ballistic protection against firing of small arms AP (Armour Piercing) rounds, IED (Improvised Explosive Device) and EFP (Explosive Formed Projectile). Locating the wheels on the capsule’s sides also enhances the capsule’s protection. The vehicle can carry a total of 6 or 8 soldiers including driver and commander. The CombatGuard of Turkmenistan is fitted with a remotely operated weapon station armed with a 7.62mm machine gun.
