A new missile designed for the Iskander (NATO reporting name: SS-26 Stone) tactical ballistic missile system has been tested at the Kapustin Yar testing ground in the Astrakhan Region in south Russia, testing ground chief Major-General Oleg Kislov said.

At the 19th meeting of the bilateral Russian-Vietnamese Intergovernmental Commission (IGC) for Military-Technical Cooperation held in Hanoi, Russia and Vietnam have approved a plan for military-technical cooperation for 2018, the army newspaper Quan Doi Nhan Zan reported.

The Kuwaiti purchase would support the gulf country's M1A2 tank recapitalization.

According to the PanArmenian website, Turkey has recently announced the purchase of Russian-made which S-400 ( (NATO reporting name: SA-21 Growler) surface-to-air defense missile systems, Turkey is also interested to acquire the next generation f Russian missile system S-500 that is still under development.

U.S.Soldiers with 2nd Platoon, B Company, 2nd Battalion, 7th Cavalry Regiment, out of Fort Hood, Texas, partnered with Kuwaiti forces from 55th Battalion, 26th Brigade, Oct. 5 on Udari Range near Camp Buehring to participate in an air assault that culminated in the troops clearing a mock village.

The U.S. State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to the Government of Saudi Arabia for Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) and related support, equipment and services for an estimated cost of $15 billion. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale, October 6, 2017.

The conceptual design of the Kaplan MT has been completed and reveals during Indo Defense 2016, International Tri-Service Defence Expo & Forum which was held in Indonesia from the 2 to 5 November 2016.

On September 20, 2017, the Brazilian Army 6th Group of Missiles and Rockets (6th GMF in Portuguese) received a visit from a Colombian military delegation. The delegation was visiting as part of a conference between the two militaires to increase cooperation. The delegation consisted of Rear Admiral José Joaquim Amézquita García - Director of Strategic Programs of the National Navy of Colombia along with various military attaches to Brazil. The US Army has finally decided to install the Israeli-made Trophy active protection system on M1A2 Abrams SEP V2 main battle tank (MBT)in response to an urgent request. In September 2017, United States governments has published a contract to its official website announcing a contract for General Dynamics Land Systems Inc. to integrate Trophy on an Armor Brigade Combat Team’s M1A2 SEPv2 MBTs.
