"After four days of familiarization, the Russian and Egyptian paratroopers have started establishing combat cohesion," Colonel Belyakov said.

"The Russian and Egyptian paratroopers jumped into a drop zone near a settlement seized by simulated terrorists. I believe that the tasks assigned for today have been accomplished," he added.

According to the commander, the Russian and Egyptian paratroopers have undergone tactical, combat and special training since the beginning of the exercise.

"The establishment of combat cohesion is a difficult period, considering the language barrier and differences in offensive tactics. However, the exercises we held earlier have allowed us to achieve the highest degree of mutual understanding and cohesion for accomplishing joint tasks today," Belyakov said.
