Missile Defense Agency honoured MBDA for its SAMP:Twork  The United States Missile Defense Agency has presented MBDA and Thales with the “Technology Pioneer Award” for their work on the SAMP/T project. The French and Italian teams that developed the air defence system received the award during the annual Multinational Ballistic Missile Defense Conference, on 6 October.

"In the fourth quarter of 2015, under the state defense order /SDO/ the brigade will receive more than ten new drones of four types. Following this, the brigade will be fully equipped with unmanned aerial vehicles," the press service noted.

According to Turkish Media, the air vehicle had violated the airspace at a depth of three kilometres. Turkish Air Force fighter jet pilots patrolling in the area located and warned it three times, as per the rules of engagement. Since there was no reply they shot it down.
