Nicaragua selected Russian-made armoured vehicle Tigr GAZ-2330 for its Police and Special Forces.
Russia’s Interior Ministry has signed an agreement with Nicaragua to supply the Light Tactical Armoured vehicle "Tigr" GAZ-2330. Nicaragua purchase 4x4 armored GAZ-2330 Tigr to Russia , with an approximate value per unit of $ 300,000. Source did not specify the number of vehicles to be purchased.

“These vehicles will be used in operations on fighting the organized crime in our country”, Nicaragua's Minister of Interior Ana Isabel Morales Mazún said at a meeting in Moscow on Thursday.

«The agreement is signed with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation about deliveries of operative equipment, in particular the automobile. It will be used for fight against organized crime in our country», - declared following the results of one of rounds of meetings the Minister of Internal Affairs of Nicaragua Ana Morales Masun.

The bought armoured cars, according to the Nicaraguan minister, will arrive in the order of armies of special troops.

«These groups are qualified as group of fast reaction are policemen. Besides operative equipment, the uniform, arms and armoured cars “Tigr”» will be delivered, - Ana Morales Masun depicted a situation.

The GAZ-2330 "Tigr" is a Russian high-mobility multipurpose military vehicle, manufactured by Military-Industrial Company LLC (BMK). It's the military version of GAZ-2975.
