General Robotics launches a Less-Lethal Weapon (LLW) module attached to the DOGO robot for special units and police forces. The Less-lethal module was designed to allow intervention forces to neutralize the threats by remote control while reducing the risk of inadvertent lethal injuries to a target or bystanders.

The Berlin Police have ordered a specially protected Survivor R vehicle from Rheinmetall. Tailored to meet the requirements of the Operations Directorate, this versatile vehicle is earmarked for delivery in July 2018. The order is worth a six-figure euro amount. After Saxony, Berlin is the second German region to equip its police force with the Survivor R.

Since the Swedish parliament settled the defence framework decision 2015, the Swedish Armed Forces (SwAF) and FMV have evaluated different systems to enhance the Swedish air-defence capability with a medium range surface-to-air system. The Swedish government has given go-ahead to FMV to commence negotiations regarding procurement of the US Patriot system.

Bittium is part of Operational Capability 1 (OC1) phase that continues the ESSOR (European Secure Software defined Radio) programme. During the OC1 phase, the operational capabilities of ESSOR High Data Rate Waveform (HDR WF), meant for joint operations between defense forces of different countries, will be enhanced. South Korean military on Thursday, November 2, 2017, conducted its first live-fire exercise with its local-made anti-aircraft missiles, local media reported. Two medium- range surface-to-air missiles (KM-SAM), called Heaven Arrow, or Cheongung in Korean, were fired to accurately strike a target at a distance of 40 km. It flew at a speed of Mach 4.5.

South Korea has developed a new thermal imagery sight for ist 20-mm anti-aircraft Vulcan cannon, the South Korean state arms agency said Wednesday, November 1, 21017.
