BAE Systems has delivered the 250th upgraded M113 Armored Personnel Vehicle (APC) to the Brazilian Army. BAE Systems is currently upgrading Brazil's M113B vehicles to the A2 MK1 standard. Upgrades include new engines, upgraded transmissions, a new electronics architecture, and better armor protection. The upgrade is expected to extend each vehicle's life by at least 20 years.

Turkey signed a letter of intent with France and Italy on November 8, 2017, to strengthen cooperation on joint defence projects including air and missile defense systems, Turkish Defense Ministry sources said. The Franco-Italian EUROSAM consortium and Turkish companies could collaborate to acquire the SAMP-T surface-to-air defense missile system produced by EUROSAM.

Australian Minister for Defence Industry, the Hon Christopher Pyne MP, November 8, 2017, announced a major milestone in the Short Range Ground Based Air Defence project. Minister Pyne said a $12.1 million contract has been signed with Raytheon Australia for the first stage of the project to acquire NASAMS air defense missile system, which is worth up to $2 billion.

According to the International Business Time website, China would have tested its latest generation of InterContinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) DF-41, this missile is able to target the United States. Slovak and Finnish Defense Ministries have signed a memorandum about the purchase of AMV 8x8 armoured vehicles for the army of Slovakia, a Slovak defense official said Friday, November 10,2017.The AMV was developed by the Finnish Company Patria in close co-operation with the Finnish Defense Force.

General Robotics launches a Less-Lethal Weapon (LLW) module attached to the DOGO robot for special units and police forces. The Berlin Police have ordered a specially protected Survivor R vehicle from Rheinmetall. Tailored to meet the requirements of the Operations Directorate, this versatile vehicle is earmarked for delivery in July 2018. The order is worth a six-figure euro amount. After Saxony, Berlin is the second German region to equip its police force with the Survivor R.

Since the Swedish parliament settled the defence framework decision 2015, the Swedish Armed Forces (SwAF) and FMV have evaluated different systems to enhance the Swedish air-defence capability with a medium range surface-to-air system.
