Rosoboronexport has USD7 billion backlog of orders for land hardware
JSC Rosoboronexport (a subsidiary of the Rostec state corporation) is promoting the military hardware for land forces, being produced by Russia`s military-industrial complex, in full accordance with the tendencies of the world market. The company has a USD7 billion backlog of orders for land forces hardware, the press department of Rosoboronexport said in a statement.

"The emerging on the global market of the systems that are remotely controlled and feature automated management indicates the new level of the battlefield assets development. They open ample opportunities in the area of perspective military hardware development. We are actively working to meet the demands in this area. At present, the Rosoboronexport`s backlog of orders for land forces equipment (including the aforementioned systems) exceeds USD7 billion," the company`s Deputy Director General, Igor Sevastyanov said.

The demand for military robotic complexes and automatized fire control systems is increasing. The press department added that two meetings of the "Land Forces` Systems and Arms" section of the Rosoboronexport`s Science and engineering board took place in 2016. The representatives of the company, the developers, and the manufacturers discussed the outlooks for the export of Russian automatized fire control systems, various remotely controlled weapon stations (RCWS), and military robotic systems, as well as the possibilities to consider the modern global tendencies in the development of better hardware.
"Russia`s manufacturers can successfully compete against foreign producers on the markets of small/medium unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) and robotized security systems with artificial intelligence (AI) components. The Kalashnikov Group and the United Instrument-Manufacturing Corporation (Russian acronym: OPK) are doing researches in this area within the Rostec state corporation," the Rosoboronexport`s press department emphasized.
