The amphibious infantry armoured vehicles BMP-3F were delivered to Indonesia within the framework of an agreement on a State credit of a billion dollar signed by Moscow and Jakarta in September 2007.

“There are countries which like much the Russian helicopters; others buy Russian ground-to-air missiles Igla. But there are also countries, as Indonesia, whose its geographical location, landscape and other characteristics are favourable with the use of Russian combat infantry armored vehicles”, declared mid-November the executive vice president of the Russian agency of armaments export “Rosoboronexport” Viktor Komardine at the 4th International Defense Exhibition of Indonesia INDO Defense 2010 Expo&Forum.

At present, Moscow proposes in Jakarta to buy another important batch of armoured tanks within the framework of the same State credit. Russia is also ready to create a technical maintenance centre of armoured vehicles in Indonesia.
